Educational information only

All content on PrintTime — calculators, articles, tables, and examples — is published for general educational purposes. It is not printing advice and is not a substitute for a qualified professional. We are not your slicer's own estimatess, and no client or advisory relationship is created by your use of this Site.

Print-time estimates are throughput approximations — your slicer's per-model estimate is always better. Speed, layer height, infill pattern, and acceleration profile change real times materially.

Printing involves hotend temperatures (200–260°C) and heated beds: never leave budget printers unattended for long prints, and ventilate for ABS and resin work.

Accuracy of calculations

We implement well-known, publicly documented formulas (see the methodology section on each calculator page and standard FDM throughput and slicer practice as applicable). Even correctly implemented formulas produce estimates that depend on your inputs and assumptions. Real-world outcomes vary. Do not rely on a single web tool for a consequential decision.
